Me : "Yea, guess so. It does help to release stress, especially when the weather is so chilly in Canberra ! "

Fren 2 : "WAH, how u noe Ben, u smoke oso ?"

Me: "Yea, I do. During exam time la. It helps me to calm down & keeps me awake."

Bkk Fishing, Day 1- IT MONSTER LAKE (PART 1) LOAD WARNING !

After a mere 3hours rest, me, Jpiing, Poi and my dad were on our way to our first fishing destination in Bangkok, the famous IT monster lake located in Ratchaburi, which is around 2hours drive from the city. John, our fishing guide came at 4am, yes 4am in the morning with his 7-seater SUV to fetch us. He said, we had to be there at 6, to have a higher bite rate. You know la, "Early birds gets the worms" mah.

Just a lil back ground on this amazing paypond that houses many amazing fishes.

IT(pronouce as ‘It’, not I.T) Monster Lake is a lake that belongs to Mr It Khun, a sugar refinery boss who loves fishing himself. Mr IT would buy fishes from fish farms across Thailand, fishes like araipaima, Chao Praya Catfish, Red Tail Tiger Catfish to put in his lake and he would invite some of his close angler friends over to fish them. Only lately he decides to open this monster lake to public with a minimum charge(3500bath per rod), which is RM350. Pretty pricey, but where else in the world, besides the Amazon, can you get a chance to come face-to-face with a Giant Arapaima Gigas.

After stopping half way to buy drinks, we finally reached IT Monster Lake at about 6.00 am in the morning. John helped us prepared our luring kit. ( Btw for those of you who doesnt noe what luring is, its a fishing technique where u try to catch a fish using a fake bait, usually mimicking a sick or injured fish.) John told us to try luring first, cause tricking and landing a fish on fake bait entirely on your own effort is just priceless :P

I manage to fight a red tail catfish on lure, and the whole fight was captured on the video below. But unfortunately, the bugger manage to unhook itself.

We continued on luring till noon, but the bite rate was very poor, cause the sun was just too hot. So we had a break and took some maggi goreng thai style and waited till 2pm for bait fishing. ( Visitors are only allowed to use bait @ 2pm onwards). John helped us rig up the chopped ikan kampung and we were off to catch the elusive ARAPAIMA !

Dint take long, when my brother caught our first redtail catfish. beautiful fish indeed. The kampung fish works like magic. Soon we were catching medium sized redtails after redtails ;and not to mention countless pacus.

It was til 4.30pm, when I finally hit something huge ! I knew it was a big one, and after losing the previous fish, I was determined to not let this one go..After a full 30mins tug of war, the fish finally gave in. BEST FIGHT EVER !

Finally, at 7.30pm, when we were busy packing up, the fish we've been going after the whole day took our bait !! The fight wasn't as impressive compared to the 30kg redtail, but Yes !! Finally caught my dream fish, the 2nd largest fish in the world, the Arapaima Gigas or "JU LONG" in mandarin. Praise GOD !!

We were exhausted, considering the fact we only had 3hours of sleep after touching down in Bangkok, but boy was it fun ! So far, it's been the best fishing experience in my life. Haha, just when you think the fun was over, we were going to the world famous Bungsamran lake the next day, for the Giant Mekong Catfish. So stay tune for "BKK FISHING DAY 2" update. Melbourne Trip Part 2

This is the second post of my melbourne trip a few weeks back. Haha, if you are wondering why Irandomly flew all the way to melbourne for the weekends, this is it boys and girls ! It's for FUTURE MUSIC FESTIVAL 10' !! The world no3 n no4 dj were spinning at the event, it was an opportunity not to be missed.

We got to Flemington Race Course around 5pm, since the big acts were all coming out late and damn the heaven's gate started to open again..it started to rain again..seriously i have no idea what is it with me and the rain..

Remember when i was in Sydney to watch Holland v Aus ? It was raining heavily as well..I think I'm the Rain God that mokobja was offering sacrifice to in the novel, "Looking for the rain God"..Anyways, Back to the music festival..

It was all muddy n wet..

To my surprise, David Guetta live set was really really good ! Haha me n my cousin were like wow, no wonder he's voted no3 in the world. Tracks like "Low is Gone" was freaking good. Who noe's if he keeps on coming out wit tracks like Sexy B**** n Memories, he might just be the world no1 dj this year..

Saw my highschool mate, EDC @ the AnjunaStage.

But in the end, I would still choose trance over electro house anytime, so most of the night we were at the anjunastage and indulged ourselves with awesome tunes played by Above&Beyond. Tracks like "On a Good Day" & "Lonely Girl" just gives me the goosebumps..Awesome, it was really awesome..even the rain cant stop the awesomeness of trance music :P

Melbourne Trip Part 1

Last weekend, I was in Melb. to catch the Future Music Festival. Manage to meet up with my college mate, as well as high school friends.

So, yea after not seeing sarah for 1month. :P We finally met at Melbourne Central !! Woot Big Clock ! Yes,initially for lunch. Sorry lah Sarah, My aunty wanted to belanja me for lunch i cant turn her down ryt ? Sumore it's Curry Leong tao foo Mee wei..U dun find that in Canberra..then again u dun find alot of stuff in Canberra..

But yes, as sarah puts it in her blog, Melbourne didn't welcomed me in a very friendly manner.. while walking along Swanston street, trying to find this DODO jap.food my cousin recommend, Sarah felt something dropping.. she looked up but she didn't see anything.. after about 3 seconds..I said.. “hey its ice!”.. and then!!!! it just started raining hail like nobody’s business!!! We manage to get a tiny mini shelter but after getting hit by the ice which was really painful, and Yes I got hit in the head by a golf-ball size hail..freaking pain ! We decided to run for it n hide in Rip Curl until it gets better.

Btw Sarah, u owe me a thank you lo, if we dint hide in RipCurl, we might have got washed up by the flood water ! According to the news, this is one of the worst hail storm that ever hit Melbourne..hahah talk about good experience aye.

After that, I went to Zink place to meet up for dinner. It was really nice talking nonsense with her n LiMin. And it got better when Wei Zhang & Angeline came. Anyway, all in all it was really nice meeting them again. Really had a good time, Thanks Guys !

N yes la, Take care too Sarah. I shall see you in Easter Break, wooot this time I'll bring the snow ! :P

:( What a shitty start for the day. Yet again, Madrid werent able to break the curse, and for the 6th consecutive season got dumped out of the last-16 tie of the Champions League.

Damn it man, it was really tough for me to swallow this. I really thought Madrid will go through to the next round.Come on, unbeaten home record at the Bernabeu fortress and scoring 20goals in 3 Premiera Liga matches ! Their free flowing attacking football, spear-headed by CR9 & Kaka, really got my hopes HIGH ! Alas, the Los Blancos let me down again. It would have been great to see them play in the CL Final in their homeground, but I wasnt expecting them to go that far since they are a relatively new team, but, come on, they should have done better than this.

Now to the important question, whose to be blame ! To be frank, everyone except Casillas. The coach wasnt authoritive enuf to demand a better play from the team..Ronaldo wasnt passing the ball in the 2nd half, but how can u blame him for doing that, he was the only "real" player out on the field, making runs n passing the ball. Gahhh, Ronaldo was open a few times & Van der Vart, Higuan chose to shoot at such a tight angle. After watching the replay, Higuan's miss on the empty Lyon goal feels like a knife stab on my heart weii..It hurts. D': Gah, enuf wit the ranting. As a Madridistas, all i can say is "Come on BOYS !! LETS GO FOR THE LEAGUE TITLE & prove the critics wrong ! HALA MADRID !

Now, to the JOY PART of this post. Congrats to my brother, HANDSOME POI for doing well in SPM. Proud of you. Hahaha but I still beat you ! hohoho "SEDUT" it !

And not to forgot Sampat too. Good job :)

So the moral of the story kids, is to work hard & study hard. Its the law of the seed yo. The lesson of the seed is : " You reap your harvest after you do the work"

You know when people argue for their limitations, they always say: " I can't do 'X' because of this lah because of that lah.." and most of time the most common excuses is :" It's just the way I AM, or It's FATE !" but more likely the truth is : " It's just the way I THINK I AM.

We can actually learn about our beliefs by studying fish. (yes i know i like to fish but this experiment is pretty awesome. So bear with me, will ya.) The following experiment was actually conducted at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institue.

First get yourself an aquarium. Divide it in half with a clear glass wall, so now you have a kind of fish "duplex". Now find yourself a flowerhorn or any meat-eating fish-and we'll call him Steve-and a feeder-fish. ( flowerhorn eats feederfish ) Put each fish on each side and in a flash our Steve will head for the feederfish and..WAMP..hit the glass wall at full speed. He'll turn around and come back for another shot..thump !

Over a period of weeks, our poor Steve will get a sore nose, and eventually he would have figured out that hunting equals to pain and quit chasing the feederfish. You can then remove the glass panel and guess what ! Steve would just stay on his side of the tank for the rest of its life and happily starve to death, eventho the feederfish is just inches away. He knows his limits and he wont step outside them.

Isnt it pitiful ? We might say because Steve is a fish ma..But it is actually the story of every human being. Instead of glass walls, we run into teachers, parents, friends, bosses who tell us what to do & what not to do. Worst of all, we just accept it as our beliefs. Our belief define territory and we defend it and wont step of out it. Steve, the flowerhorn said: " Hey, i gave my best shot..so now im just gotta stay here.." We say: " Hey i gave my best for studies/job once before.."

We create our own glass walls, and we think its reality..So, my friends are you ready to step out of your glasss walls ?

Wsap peeps..its been a while aye ? Well life's been pretty hectic before break, assignments, exams, quizess became a norm for me for the past few weeks ! It aint healthy for the soul !

Anyway had a great mid sem break a week ago. Enjoyed my socks off ,when im suppose to study for finals. But what the heck, study hard,play harder !! : )

Change..Why is it that some changes in life are so difficult to take? And why some has struggled to cope well with new changes in life?

I believe change is an inevitable part of life. It challenges one to let go of the past, especially the comfortable, old ways of doing. Change is just like a wall that one must strive to climb over it.

Alexander Graham Bell wrote, "When one door closes another door opens; but if we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us."
Too often, have we sulked over past failures and thinking what should have been and what could have been rather than looking forward.

Why? Why are we scared of changes! Simple..We hold on to the old because we still treasure it, may it be a relationship or the passing of someone, who was dear to you. It was sentimental. It was something special.

True. I’ve tried hard and long enough to try to keep things in my life unchanged, and pretend that things were still the way it used to be. But, what gone is gone. And hey, there are still millions of doors just waiting for you to open it.

Change is just like an illusion that one can manage just by controlling the world around you. As the great Mohandas Gandhi said. You must be the change you wish to see in the world. . Change is most effectively managed from within ourselves!

Changes are hard but what is there you can do about it? What gone is gone, learn to let go ! Let go of your security blankets and abandon former perceptions. Only then you will move forward and feel better about it.

Change, like everything in life, can be beneficial when harnessed.

MU vs Barca. It was a dream final, where two of the most prolific attacking football clubs have a go for the most decorated prize in european football.

Messi was totally superb la last night, he was literaly dancing around the MU defence !! So was Iniesta and Xavi. But i personally think ManU had a bad game.Anderson, Park, Vidic. They were all very dissapointing.But overall, it was a good final. With both teams trying to have a go at each other.

Now, to the great debate on "Messi vs CR7", whose the better player.

Hmm,eventhough messi really "messi"ed up the MU defence with his dribbling skills,

Cristiano Ronaldo was the Man of the Match for me.haha

He was entertaining the crowd the whole night with his funny expressions..hehe,sorry i meant skills. :P

Too many times, I’ve seen all this bullshit from asshole that rants and cries about how hard and how long they took to just lose it to another bloke. Don’t get me wrong, I do understand where they are coming from. But why can’t people just shut up and accept the fact that they were just not good enough?

I mean, who are we to judge and condemned people that they weren’t good enough? Hey no one is perfect and no one claims to be. So before you point your fingers, be sure to ask yourself have you done your best? Judge not, before you judge yourself. I’m pretty sure, we’ve worked equally, if not harder to have won the final prize.

We live in a world filled with sick people, who cant stand happiness and waiting to bring us down. So, my friends, be proud with your accomplishments no matter how big or small it is. Dont let them fool you, you’ve put your heart and soul in to it.And no one else, but you deserves it.

This appeared in the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper. The Business Section had asked readers all week for ideas on "HOW WOULD YOU FIX THE ECONOMY?" This man nailed it.

Dear Mr. President,

"Patriotic retirement",

There's about 40 million people over 50 years old in the work force - pay them $1 million apiece severance with the following stimulations:

1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - UNEMPLOYMENT FIXED.
2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - AUTO INDUSTRY FIXED.
3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - HOUSING CRISIS FIXED.

Like I have been saying, they are bailing out the wrong people.

LOL, so true..Maybe Ben Bernanke and team should proposed this to the US senate,instead of trying to figure which financial institute they should bail out next !

记得念书的时候，我有一个女的朋友对我很好，跟她很熟。熟到每天下课一起吃饭，喝茶，玩，作功课。有时还搭车去SHOPPING, ALTHOUGH 我不太喜欢去逛街。

在别人眼中，我们总是会被别人以为好像姐姐带着弟弟，因为她看起来的确比我成熟。由于我那时候的样子像乖乖仔，但很懒，什么是都不理，对每一件事都赶不上兴趣，也没有像她一样，样样都会PLAN，样样都精，是个很聪明的女孩。所以很多事情都是由她决定的。无论吃什么，看什么戏，去那里，等下有什么节目，都是她安排的。基本上我不需要担心，顾虑。。。

当她伤心，忧虑时，她也会跟我讲，但是我总是不理她，因为我不想，我不想听不开心的东西，很烦，我认为你把不开心的事告诉别人，也会让对方感觉很不愉快，而且除了你自己以外的任何人都无法真正帮助你解决一些问题，因为他们不是你。也可能我不太会安抚。。。慢慢的，日子久了，当她不开心的时候，她只会静静的坐在我旁，不出声，因为她了解我，知道我不喜欢听人诉苦。一个人自己把不开心的是收在心里。

我外表看起来很斯文，但心里是一个很大男人主义，爱面子的男生，所以我从不像女生低头说我不开心的事。当我不开心的时候，我会摆出一个很不爽的样子，她就会明白的。我就会找一个安静点的地方待着，两个人静静的坐在沙发上看书。我看漫画，她就拿课本来温习功课。

记得有一次，因为我看漫画，她拿课本坐在我旁边，温习功课，我有一种很不爽的FEELING。看起来我好像很懒，很坏，那种不爽的感觉，很难形容。。。我就从她手中抢了她的书，丢去外面。很大声的骂她：“要读书就回家读，不要在我面前装很勤劳，你很假！！！ ” 这。。。可能是我第一次骂的这样够力，就是不爽，我也不知道为什么会这样。

她可能也知道我那天心情不好，没有顶回我，慢慢的走去外面捡回书，回来跟我说: “我累了，要回家，明天见。” 一副很无奈的表情，离开了。我心想，这是什么意思？不爽我么？他妈的！%#（￥#·#·(*#@^!$%^($!@#$%^ 不喜欢我这样就讲给我听，不要摆那种不爽的脸！

I always wondered how Sporting Lisbon players felt after being defeated and humiliated by Bayern in the Champions league game.And today I got to feel how the players felt, first hand, when my futsal team was utterly torn apart by two of our opponents, 11-0 and 7-1. Yes, that was how much we were beaten in the MASCA games.

To be honest, we were the only team with freshmen and I only met 4 of my teammates TODAY right before the tournament!!! To make matters worse, there was a Msia national player in the 11-0 demolition squad.

I can’t say I was not embarrassed by the score line and how people would look at us after the mauling but I must say, I was actually rather happy after the game. We took the trashing experience at a positive angle and, instead of winding and cursing; we actually made a decision to play futsal and do gym more often to improve our game. Which is good. We finally realised where we are standing in terms of futsal standards and boy, did we learned it the hard way.It was a smack on the face. Hell it’s about time to wake up and start doing some serious training yo.HELL YEA! We’ll definitely be back for next year’s games!

Gah, finally everything in my to-do list is almost done. The last two items left to be crossed out are : 1) GET A LAPTOP ASAP FOR CRYING OUT LOUD and 2) Sign myself a phone contract. OK, ive been thinking for quite some time whether I should go ahead with an nokia or indulge myself with an I-PHONE ! It looks awesome and most of all its like an ipod touch + GPS thing in case I get lost in Canberra after a marijuana party. So, which one shud I go ahead with guys ?

Ah yes, I checked in to my uni campus or UNILODGE on Wednesday and I must say the place looks awesome. I never would have choose it unless Jane told me about it. Thanks Jane. Anyway moving on to the best part, you see my mum is so worried that I would die in Canberra because of being not used to living alone, that she prepared almost everything for me.No,let me rephrase I was OVERLY-PREPARED ! All the new arrivals in Kinloch had only max4 bags of luggage ? and guess how many I had…6 + a box of knifes and cooking utensil and that’s not it…a few plastic pails in case I need them..Daem. Everyone was staring at me and my 5ringgit pasar malam plastic pails and my 6oversized bags. Embarrassed ?Maybe a little. But, now my apartment looks more like an apartment. Its already stock with everything I need, food,tissue paper,forks,etc, eventhough I haven’t even started living in it. Aint my mom the best yea ! Anywhoos, I sure hope ANU is gonna be a fun place. I’ve already met some guy in ANU who was 100% on weed cause he was stoning when I was asking him direction on where was the student admin office. Haha lets light some spliff mon.

All right, moving on with my OZZY life, after enrolment, we packed up and started heading back to good old Sydney.

“Wait, what bout orientation week ?”
Cousin, “Aiyah, Ben. Orientation are for geeks. You don’t need to attend it.”

US Senate Rejects US$14 billion Auto Bailout

A US$14-bil emergency bailout for US automakers has being rejected by the Senate on Thursday night after the United Auto Workers union refused to accede to Republican demands for swift wage cuts. Without any financial funds for the US automakers, the world largest automakers General Motors and Chrysler LLC are expected to go bust in a matter of few weeks time.

This decision by the Senate is going to have a really big impact on the economy. The Dow Jones industrial average has already fell 196.33, or 2.24 percent, to 8,565.09 in its openings, as investors sentiment on the market worsen.

Yes, the free market law says, only the efficient firm can be left survive in the market. But, not at this moment. The Senate doesnt realise how big the impact would be if GM goes bust.

Millions would lose jobs.How long will this global economic meltdown would be, all entirely depends on how fast US is spending again.And with one million jobs due to be loss in a couple of weeks time, the outlook for 2009 and 2010 is set to be even gloomy than ever.This is because, a bigger unemployment rate will lead to a greater decline in overall GDP in the country. Life would be much tougher now for the President-Elect Obama, because he needs a even BIGGER stimulus package which includes creating EVEN more jobs since unemployment numbers are expected to increase.

Related Industry would be heavily hit as well. Earnings of related industries such as tyre manufacturer, US-car Service Shops, Spare-parts manufacturers will be also be badly hit as the demand for the end product or complement product has stopped. Thus, forcing these related industry to go bust as well, which in turn will create even more unemployment.

Weaker Consumer and Investor Sentiment. As investors and consumers starts to see how severe the problem has become, they would start selling off their shares to gain any possible profit they can get,which will cause the stock market to fall.

Final Words. The economy is in such a weakened state right now, that adding another possible loss of millions of jobs is not something that the US economy can sustain at this very moment point of time. But none the less, the US government would now have more reserves needed to bailout any potential companies who are in better conditions compared to the auto makers.

Last Saturday, went to bentong farm together with the Lees, jping family, bro and myself. As usual, we left around 7am and had breakfast in bentong town for some awesome wanton mee and dim sum. The char siew pau is a must try too. After a heavy stomach, we continued on with our journey. It was so cooling along the raub-bentong road..In fact, it was cooler than air-con. Along the way, we saw random kmpg people popping out of no way standing along the road..hmmm..o yes we saw lots of dogs too. Joel Lee had some fun too, whistling and flirting with kampung girls. Naughty chap.

Anywho, we finally reached the farm around an hours time and were greeted by jeffrey's dad. They were here the day before to do some hunting session. Andy kew-kew showed off his prize possession from the hunting session which was two eagles..Such powerful creatures the claws the wing..So majestic but covered with blood..which explains why i dint take any pictures of them.

Moving on to the fishing..My day couldnt get any worse, when my first cast got hit by a huge patin. I was so excited when i saw the fish swam infront of me, but thats when my nightmare started..I couldnt stop it from going into the wooden plank and the leviathan just entangled the line and snap the fish was gone..I was still in denial saying the fish was still there, but jeff told me its gone sonn and finally gave in and cut the entangled strings..geezz i think thats the last patin in the big pond due to the horrible management of a particular "someone" and hoping to get another one was just impossible.

Dejected, I went back to the pondok to do some TILAPIA fishing. I decided to do a huge Bomb bait and drop it just below the pondok and jeff was saying." wahlau so big ? how the fish eat ?!" and i said, just leave it lah can one..and what do you noe, this whooper came and took my strawberry pandan bait..hahaha everyone was jumping with joy when we finally landed it.

Had my first driving range session with Deric last Saturday. Before he gave me a call, i never knew he played golf. So, it was a great catch up session with the hardcore Arsenal fan.

I must say he played reasonably well, considering he just started and im sure he'll become a pro anytime next 2years. Haha dont give up dood. I took 4 years to reach this stage and yes practice makes perfection..So, anyone interested to pick up golf ? ( I would much prefer girls than guys tho heheh )..Just give me a call and in no time you will play like Tiger Prawn, oops i meant Tiger Wood. =p Deric gives a 110% focus and attention on his swing.

TOMAN fish is the most talked about fish species in our family. Almost every family gathering, we would talk about our past experience with this freshwater Leviathan. And its no secret that the toman fish is my favourite type of fish too. So i thought why not write a post on this magnificient fish. 5kg whooper from T.Kenyir

In english, its called the Giant Snakehead or the Red Snakehead. In Malay and Indonesian it is called Toman Harimau ( it comes from the Tiger like stripes it has ) and 'Shado' in Thailand.But, in our family we would call it " Toh-MAN"

Toman fish is usually called red snakehead because during its juvenile stage it would show a striking red tone running across the body and as it grows the line u see will start to fade away and breaking into stripes.

During the olden days, people actually use ducklings as baits to lure these beast.Just imagine a 10kilo toman attacking the duckling on the surface ! Wicked Cool..But i would much prefer to use catfish or keli as bait. Reason being they like to wiggle alot and they can last longer with a hook sticking on their tail longer than any other bait fish.

You wont wanna mess with this mouth.

toman would attack animals or even divers in Tasik Kenyir when they are in their territory. Just recently tomans in the national zoo lake have been attacking birds, injuring their legs and even devouring some of the ducks. And with the teeth like that, dun be surprise if you lose a finger or two if ur having one as your pet.

US were open-minded enuf to have a first black presiden. Perhaps a chinese or an indian prime minister for malaysia for the next election ? *PAUSE* nah ! wont happen in my life time la.

Today was a very important day for the Americans and the world as well as history has been made.Barack Obama was elected the nation's first black president in a historic triumph that overcame racial barriers as old as America itself. I was really relief when i read that Obama won the election. You could see he's a man on a mission ; ready to take on the toughest job yet by taking over USA at such a turmoil conditions ; ready to do his job even though he knew some hill-billy out there were plotting to assassinate him. Yes, it was time for a change. People were fed-up with the republicans. Wars at Iraq, sub-prime loan, enough was enough.

I'm sure u must be asking, "why do I care bout USA ? Its got nothing to do with me !" Well, my friends, whether you like it or not, "whenever US sneezes, the whole World catches a cold ! " Just take the financial crisis for an example. US are the one who screwed their banking sector but the whole world is suffering with them as well. Americans are not all smart and rich. Almost 1/3 of the population have not even step out of their country before ! They just live in their own world and doesn't give a shit on whats gonna happen to the rest of the world. Bloody Yanks, i would say. But, just a minority of them tat is.

But nonetheless, credits to the whites for voting for Obama and overcoming the so called white syndrome ! Even Obama said the other day that victory cannot be 100% as you never know when the white syndrome would kick in.Im sure you dont want a vice president in Sarah Palin ,who has never set a foot out of america, do you ? :/

But the funny thing is most malaysian still do not know whats coming. Just a few days back, me and two of my fellow RA colleagues went to a few shopping malls to do consumer sentiment survey.

One of the question was "Has the recent economic situation affected ur spending habits ? "

And guess what, a number of people actually said our economy were still doin fine, and there is no reason to worry about. Besides malaysia depends alot on china what..so we wont be affected by america rite ?

Gosh, they are soooo wrong. The government aint telling the truth on our economic well being..the truth is our country's economic had never really experience any substantial growth ever since the boom in 1997. After that, things have been gloomy for malaysia.You could ask any of your parents who are in the business, they would tell you malaysia's market has never been good for a long long time. And now to the china part. Yes, we've been trading alot with china over the past few years. However, bear in mind that china is just a manufacturing country which produces goods. Thus,ultimately the end buyers are still the fellow yankees. So,if the americans dont buy,china dont get to manufacture and if china dont manufacture they wont trade with us.( still with me ? )

Nevertheless, we would be better prepared in this economic crisis compared to our neighbour, singapore. Reason being we are less depandant on our financial or service sector, but more to a commodity driven country, exporting steels and palm oil. Plus we are currently practising a 4% budget deficit compared to 1997 where we're at 5% budget deficit. Thus, making it possible for us to extent to an additional 1% budget deficit to boost the growth when times are bad. Besides that , Govt's decision to choose smaller projects thru out the country over major projects are also seen as a positive move to stabilise the market, as more contracts are being given out thus creating a bigger multiplier effect to boost growth.

One can expect a rise in crime rates,due to major unemployment in the near future as share market crash.Thus,we must be extra careful with everything. Cheaters and robbers are ready to pounce on any opportunity the've got,especially when times are so bad.. Tho, on the brighther note, in economic terms, theres always an opportunity to get rich when shares are low..So, to those potential share buyers out there, good luck and hope you get the right shares. And to us, people with no income, lets just hope the mega sale will be better this year. * DANG, should i get my mercurial vapor boots now,or wait for the prices to drop..zzzz

Well that pretty much sums it all up for the final last night. What a disappointment..its like every time i watch Malaysia play, they will just lose..aiyo heart break la..The players gave all they got and some new players were exceptionally good, charging up the field continuosly but our winger, Mohd Ashaari Samsuddin was just plain horrendous..people attacking, the left flank winger still joging up. My gosh !! bloody bad substitution i would say.

Anyway, eventho malaysia lost.The man of the match award still goes to Mohd Daudsu Jamaluddin. What a player la ! Defended well, had some shots at the goal , and cooly slotted in he's penalty..This is what we need for our national squad..hardworking players !

I must say im gonna miss watching malaysia playing live when i gone furthering my studies..the atmosphere the crowd..Sure arsenal or Mu play better football than malaysia but the feeling of supporting ur own country is just price-less. But the best moment for the nite,was from this little girl who sat behind me. We human-beings are getting weirder each day.A few months back, i remember seeing a lady sharing her drink with her dog with the same freaking straw !! My gosh, thats just plain disgusting.Dogs and cats actually use their tongues to groom themselves from fleas and excessive furs.I mean how could someone share eating utensil with their pets ?!! The idea of doing it just makes me wanna vomit. Dun get me wrong, i love pets but one must noe where to draw the line la.haha besides that, i heard stories where a man shared his son's paddle pop with their pet turtle..think thats mad ? wait till you hear this..a teenager in australia actually let a stray dog lick he's lips and then kisses her mom..ahha like wth ? talk about education well-spend ! Its really sad seeing our country who used to be among the top boys in asia region falling to such a low state..We used to compete with China , South Korea or even Japan in economy-wise but now we are struggling to attract foreign investors compared to under-developing countries like Vietnam or Cambodia who are way behind of us in well pretty much everything. Over the past few years, FDI have been moving out from our country due to political instability and not to mention various red-tapes involved. Furthermore, labour cost have been gradually increased compared to Vietnam. Malaysia is slowly becoming less-competitive compared to our neighbouring countries. But is our country and the govt really tat bad ? Not at all, in fact,we can capitalise in our oil palm and create more value added products compared to primary products.

Besides that, the iskandar project was a brilliant project, but due to poor infrastructure planning, it has lost its attractive-ness.So there's definetly room for improvement for Malaysia ! Well you can take our malaysia's football squad as an anology for our country's economy well being. Days where Mokhtar dribbling past Maradona are long gone..We'r now playing with lowly minnows such as SIERRA LEON , NEPAL & AFGHANISTAN in the merdeka tournament. Being the host and defending champion, our boys better give it all they have and make malaysia a country worth talking about,before the world recession creeps in or our country is all but over ! ( well for the football la, for our economic standing ? theres still hope =)

Boohooo, soon everyone's leaving for their studies. Well not really the case for Noel la, since he's going over there to watch Manchester United play instead of study. Everyone is so separated at the moment.Some will be in the UKs , some in australia, some in singapore and some, well they just disappear *poof without saying a word to you. Just got back from a 3hour PS2 "FIFA08 WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT" in the wong residence. A total of 9 were spilt into 4 teams. Team Spain was made out of Ju Yuan, me & thiszhiyong. Team Brazil is represented by jpiing & mokkies. Brandon & Joel were playing France ,and last but not least the "DOK SEK" ( DOK SEK-selfish;dont pass ball in footballing term ) team which was made out of Jwoh Wei & Jeffrey.

Match Report: Gameday 1

SPAIN 1-0 BRAZIL

It was a close match.But Fernando Torres's ( me lah.. ) predatory skills were good enough to secure 3 full points for the spaniards. So far so good for the only team with 3 players which is not necessary a gd thing in FIFA08.

ENGLAND 1-1 FRANCE

Jojo & Brandon were superb together, passing the ball around with authority. But, it was Jeff's solo effort that ruin the Les Blues day.

From the start, lady luck wasnt on spain's side. It all started when Puyol got sent off for a handball which was utterly ridiculous..in ps2 la.Like what are the chances of that happening. A man down and 2 goals down, Spain continued to push on and manage to pull one back during the 1st half. We even force a goal line clearence which is FAKE lah.A bad blunder by me made it 3-1 at 47' and the game was all but over. Victory to the samba boys.

Finally, my days working at Italiannies are over..Well to be honest, my last day there wasnt as fun as i thought it would. For the first time I was given station 7 & 8 ( busiest station in the restaurant ) and boy i did mess things up..the stupid host kept one sending guest to my station, and everyone was acting busy when there's nothing to busy about anyways..yep i was on my own allright !

Then, SHIT (in the form of Cappucino Pie ) HAPPEN . So,this is what happen. Table 184 wanted their dessert C.pie so i went to the expo and left the dessert slip for the kitchen dude to prepare the job. After 10mins still dint come out. I mah go and check lo. They say its out de,so ok fine, and so i went back to key in orders for other tables. Well guess what, table 184 still havent got their dessert. So where the hell is it !! The guest were damn pissed all right. I quickly stormed back to the expo demanding for explanation, turns out the previous C.pie was for T92...ok...then wheres 184 ? They say they dint see it ! Honestly screw the kitchen people..never check properly which dessert are from the slip n which is from the monitor screen..and in the end, i got it from KaySze. " ITS TOO LATE, ITS TOO LATE ! WHY DINT U TELL ME EARLIER !!" Hello ? i would, if i had some help from other servers ryt ? ish ended up the pie was canceled n there goes an angry customer..

Bah, so are you guys happy now for slamming my station ? Well congrats, u guys suceeded..But who cares..So my frens, the lesson to be learned here : Is to never ever tell anyone its ur last day cause, oh yea they will try to make it as horrible as it can get..shitty people :b

But ya, there is still no love lost between us ( erhem, not in that gay-ish way of coz ). Thanks for being so patient with me. Thanks for teaching me how to handle stuck-up customers. CHELSEA FC vs MALAYSIA

6-0 or 7-o perhaps, considering the way they played the two previous games in china & macau. But we were all wrong. The final score was only 2-0.Disappointing aint it..Deco was superb in the 1st half before he was sub and Chelsea were always looking dangerous when he had the ball. However, the man of the match wasnt Anelka or A.Cole eventho they scored the winning goal. For me, our national keeper was superb through out the whole game. Stopping Deco's volley, punching the ball out of danger, damn he's actually good ! There was this moment, where Essein broke free from the kayu defence and he was one on one, but the malaysian lad manage to deny Chelsea a third goal of the night !! Well how bout that for a save !!

Anywhos, i dont really blame Chelsea for not taking this game too seriously cause they are gonna play in Moscow in two days time for the Moscow Cup. So yea, all the best for Terry and Co. and thanks for dropping by to KL. All in all, it was good game, as we manage to see Huge EPL stars like Frank, Deco, A.cole & P.Cech (he's damn tall ). Well to start off, i dint really had enough sleep last night. Cause i was only fully asleep at 5am and i was already up by 8 to play football with some of my highschool mates at PJ OLD TOWN. However, we ended up playing "futsal" bside the main field with 3 a side cause the field were alreadybeing used by people for some football tournament. Anyway, still enjoyed it alot eventhough couldnt blast the ball but hey at least i did some exercise and some football to cure the "racun".

Anywho, I'm really starting to like my job at italiannies. The people there are all friendly and fun !! Yea, maybe sometimes we might be at loggerheads with our fellow staff, managers or rather GM. But for me.Its all cool, cause in the end we're still part of the team. So yea, my days at italiannies are already numbered. I really hope i can really enjoy my remaining days at work..SO HERE GOES ! Last week at italiannies, HERE I COME. ( lets rock n roll babeh :D )

Friday Mayhem

Woot.Enjoyed working today !! There was a computer mal-function today at italiannies. Which oso means all the servers cant key in the order, so we were required to write on a papper and pass it to the kitchen for them to cook the meal. Sounds easy ?? Oh yea...haha but try to fo that when the restaurant is full and shot of staff..perfect recipe for disaster..We were like headless chicken. One minute the computer was back on, and then poof it shut down.

There were so many repeated orders, and even more missed orders but most of all ANGRY & HUNGRY customers..i guess its true when someone's hungry they can get equally grumpy too.

But ya, do we care ? Nope, sorry. In fact, we kinda enjoyed the chaotic-madness ! ( Haha terrible servers arent we ?) Everyone on the floor were shouting here and there, running around with tiramisu and asking table by table, " Excuse me, did u order any tiramisu ? " Slammed. Not one transaction was going smoothly. Drinks werent sent, orders being repeated, pizzas werent made, desserts were sent even before the main course..everything was in a state of chaos, madness & I LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT !!!

However, all "good" things must come to an end. By evening they manage to solve the technical problems and we're back online. Damn, talk about over depandance on technology. Yep, after surviving today's madness, i really admire how normal " Dai Chou" or chinese restaurant stalls can keep everything in such order eventhough they dont have computers or KDS system in the kitchen and all. But most of all, credits to everyone in italiannies, the guest, the servers (me too) , hosts,managers, BOH staffs who actually manage to overcome this technical problem. Good job !

Anywho, today Business was fairly good compared to last week. I was only busy running up and down, from 1 till 3pm, cause i was in charge of station 1 to 4 plus table 60. and for some freaking reason all the tables asked for the bill at the same moment !! Lol !! SLAMM !! But yea, thank god i dint slam.

After work, went yumcha with some old friends at OldTown in sentosa.Yep, it sure was a good day indeed. WOOT, off to bed then. Chao~( MUST TRY TO WAKE UP EARLIER TMRW OR ELSE SURE KENA FROM JAMES DI. )

For Fuck sake's, Italiannies please hire more workers !! Fuck everyone was busy like hell today. All the stations were basically slammed ! Whole bloody restaurant but with only one bar and one bartender...like okay....and 6 servers today including yours trully. Walao run up n down up n down..

And things get even "better" when the 25 pax reservation people arrived..so I was there preparing the olive oil for the guest to dip with their bread and there was this guest who said : " eh get some drinks for us ! Get a bucket of beer.." And i said : " okay, sir. " continued to pour my last plate. then he said " People so thirsty u still playing with ur thing."

Like what the fuck ?!! Hello im just doing my job. You dint tell me what beer u want and u dint order before hand and you expect things to pop up just like that ? F*&% YOU la ! ( ok maybe i shud have serve water for them first.)

Then nvrmind.Ordered beer di but the restaurant ran out of ice and all the beer are not chilled enuf. So, we put the beer at the bar first. Everyone was busy with the beer and ice and all. So, the food came out and we serve it first since its out di. Then,these zibai lady said "Dont serve food !! Bring us drinks la ! cannot understand ?!! "

Well.zibai.go FUCCK YOURSELF. Some more want free coffee and tea after meal.Fuck you poor bastard !! Lucky our manager is a good person. Smile smile smile zibai-kia..go die la !

But yea, on the lighter note. Seriously, i feel we are really understaff. So, all the top people up there,for crying outloud, dont keep questionin bout the sales figure only but think bout ways to improve efficiency of the restaurant and maintaining the number of employees at the moment is a definetly not a right move.

Why increase ?

Besides the traditional " Not enough oil left in the world "reason , this is what i think that might have also contributed to the cause of high oil prices. ( Which, i might be wrong ) But, here goes. Enjoy.

First of all, we all know that USD is the most recognised currency in the world. And in the oil-trading market, it is no surprise why the USD is also being used. However, the US currency has been depreciating in this few years and this might just be one of the reasons why oil prices has been increasing dramaticly.

For example, in the past 1USD=RM3 and a barrel of petrol cost 1usd. Therefore our govt will pay 1usd which is equal to rm3. Now, 1USD=RM1.50. Thus, oil producer will have to increased the price level to 2usd to maitain rm3 per barrel to gain maximum profit.

Maybe in this case, Msians wont suffer that much since one barrel of petrol still cost the same, but for countries such as thailand which is not an oil exporting country will suffer badly.

Besides that, big time players who holds their cash in USD will start to realise that their assets in USD are dropping in value which make them look for other alternatives which can increase in value in the future, what else, but petrol. Therefore they will start pumping usd out which causes the depreciation but at the same time creating a demand pull for the oil prices ( Excessive demand over supply ).

Sigh,the global economic aint doing so well and the increased oil prices which will increase even more in the future will only cause more problems. Lets take a household for example. They originally earn 1000 a month but due to increased prices, their cost of living has gone up. What will the household do ? For starters they might wanna look for part time job, but what if Msia like US and the rest of the world falls into recession ? What will they do next ? What else, but to rob and steal out of desperation.

One might argue than how bout China ? Personally, i think China is growing so rapidly because of cheap labour and due to the olympic games. Once their labour cost starts to increase and the games are over, China would be just like any other Asean countries without anyother specialties to offer to the world.

Natural disasters, increase in oil prices, lack of food ,civil wars, corrupted governments,US economy falling apart. If you ask me, i would say its a perfect recipe for a World War 3 all right. * double gulp :/

Inflation Recession ?

Well based on my understandings , this is my review on Malaysia's economic. At the moment , Msia is having a different kind of economic problem, the one which we dont study in textbooks.( i hoped im right ! ) We are experiencing what i call an inflation, but with some characteristics of recession. Here are the points :

1) General price level of GnS are increasing. Seriously, the nasi lemak which cost 2bucks now cost 5bucks !!Which might be cause by increased in oil prices ( i'll comment on that later )
2) Malaysia currency is actually depreciating ( dont listen to our govt's nonsense ) which makes things worse as we all noe we're an importing country of many GnS, such as educations & high tech stuff. Thus, resulting cost push inflation.

However, heres the catch. Alot of ppl are actually losing jobs all over the world including Msia. For example, starbucks has been shutting down outlets, thus creating unemployment. Usually inflation happens when there is a excessive demand in the market which pushes the price level up. But the thing is, ppl are losing their jobs bt at the same time experiencing increase in price levels. So imagine this,we are unemployed & jobless but the same time we still must bear the higher cost of living, bcause as we noe it we cant live without food and fuel right ? WHAT SHOULD WE DO !! EXPANSIONARY FISCAL & MONETARY POLICY ? no it would just make things worse. SS side policy perhaps.But with cheaper alternatives in China & India, who wants to invest here ?! Plus with the poltical instability in our country, I am afraid its just not possible.

Doomed.I hoped not.All those US economists better think of something fast to cure the recession in US cause Msia is very much depandant on America & I sure dont like the way our country's economic is going. Dont play-play, this is just the begining.*gulp

Besides the usual " wake up at 12 in the noon , eat ,watch tv, sleep, play then sleep again " routine , I got a chance to watch " Beauty and the Beast " musical with Noel & Suwei. Damn, i even scarificed my cousin's wedding in Penang just to watch my first musical. But it was all worth it, and the korean dinner Noel belanja was not bad at all ( it freaking cost 600 something of course nice lah, right ? ).

Yes, anyways, back to "B&B" musical . The candle dude and the clock was really hilarious and entertaining and the whole crew sang very well. Which is why,Im giving it a 4 out of 5. However, there was only one problem with the show. The girl who acted Bel in the musical was too short la.No offence, but the Bel I remembered from the cartoon was taller and prettier ! ( heheh )

RED FURY

Whoever wins, football is the biggest winner. This euro was way better & more entertaining compared to the last one.Teams like Turkey, Croatia & Russia has proven that they deserve to be in the finals. It was actually a good thing for England to not qualify for the finals, or else they might just be humiliated by other superior teams. For example,like France & Italy being hammered by the dutch. Anyway, i was rather disappointed that the Oranje dint enter the semis,Wesley & Robben were superb in the group stages ( which is excellent news for REAL MADRID ).Players who worth mentioning are Ashavin, Villa, Altintop, Schweinsteiger, Ramos and of course Torres. Not a big fan of him, but credit to him for working hard upfront as a lone striker in the final against the germans. All in all, EURO08 was attacking football at its best. ( Damn no more football for one whole month )

First movie was "Get Smart" . Reli enjoyed it. And i totally disagree with what ri said, it wasnt that obvious la the plot and gosh who would have thought Agent23 was a double-agent ? Anywho,gotta say The Rock's acting skill is improving & Anne is smoking hot..woooo feel the heat.

Din't really enjoyed it that much.Maybe cause im a GUY & romantic comedy aint my cup of tea & yea it certainly is a movie for couples so yea it sucks.But im sayin that just bcoz im single =b Anyway,its a good film, the plot's interesting and the glow in the dark thunder beads is awsome. After a STRING of disappointing seasons for Real Madrid ,the Madridismo finally shown the fans what they are really all about , by winning their 31st La Liga title on Sunday with nothingless but style.

It wasnt an easy game at all. Real were one goal down after Puñal of Osasuna scored at the 85'. It looked like the title would have to wait another week, until Higuaín’s free kick found Robben who headered into the back of the net. Two minutes later, when the Madridista dream appeared all but postponed, Higuaín just happened to bring another league title back to Madrid by scoring at the 91'.

Well , the chinese new year holiday has already started for me ( which was like back in last friday i guess)..anyway the following saturday, went to EeTeng's mansion for high school reunion/farewell party for some of the 'aussies' and overseas bound classmates..Lol as u can see eventhough all of us have gone with our separate ways, there's def.no LOVE lost btween us

Anyways i did some new year fishing on chinese new years eve and ya here's the result..by far one of the best trip i guess..Like Ri said , guess my ONG finally mali di since its CNY =)

Oh by the way , CJ7 is a must watch movie for the new year !! Once again stephen chow has shown us how "skillful" he is...great movie.touching and humorous at the same time unlike Meet the Spartans which is plain idiotic..till then HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR people..GONG XI GONG XI !

Ok , so 2008 dint start exactly how i wanted it to be....Lost all the starcraft games i played , dint caught anything at all at Towfoo fishing pond , got scolded by some FREAK captain who think he's a damn pro in futsal....ahhh just when i tot things would finally settle down my beloved dog died...and i got an email from ucas saying i did something "teeriibly"wrong...

Gosh !!!! Will this sueh-ness ever stop ?? I guess as the saying goes when you feel you are being cursed by endless badluck everything that happens tend to be "SUEH" too . How true !! I believe God has let all these things happen for a reason , perhaps trying to groom me up as a stronger christian or perhaps a better person and look at things more positively..Who knows..who knows...

For example, through my dog's death i learned that we shud nvr take things for granted and we shud cherish every moment with our love ones..hey u will never know when their time on this earthly world will be up...just a day before,my dog was still alive and kicking and all of a sudden it just fell sick and passed away..A lot of times we dont know what we got till its gone..so yeah what im tryin to say is enjoy every minute of your life and try to make other's happy if you wanna be happy too..( do unto others as others do to you ) Till then , God Bless..

Well what can i say, the whole year in pb2 was a blast for me ! i never regreted changing class to pb2 ( not because sociology is too hard for me XD )... I made new friends and met some old pals such as xiaw ying.. ahh life...i thought i would never see her again and she reappears in my life again !!! ( well in a good way of course =p ) haha LIFE is just so unexpected huh ? anyway i have no idea what im talking bout...sorry.

After reading rianne's blog , i find what she say is so true and right to the spot . '' it's different, you know, when you say your HappyHolidays', MerryChristmas' and Happy New Years in secondary school and in college. It's slightly more bitter than sweet in college than it is in sec.school, because after all the aforementioned festivites, we'll only be left with 6 months of each other, and then who knows what'll happen to us .'' All fishes were realeased after being caught.... and yes i got chased away by some guards after catching that Jawa... fishing is not allowed in the TR ponds. But as long as their are big fish me and ben will probably keep trying!!!! XD

HARUAN SOUP FOR SOUL ??

Sorry for the late posting , was kinda busy with college and all..anyway during the holiz , my family decided to head to bentong to do some deepavali fishing...da trip really came at the right time as i was really worn out by AS finals and i really needed a break dearly..

Yup , so after having the famous wantan mee in bentong ( trust me is just tat damn good ), we finally arrived at my uncle's farm...mmmm one can just feel relax with all the fresh air around you ( discounting all the chicken poo smell la of coz )

Overall , it was a fruitful trip...We caught more than 50 sizeable red tilapia , 1 Jelawat and my cuz, Ping was rewarded with a kilo+ haruan ( striped snakehead)...he was casting his frogbait the whole damn day and he fully deserved the catch...goodjob =)

Altho i dint catch anything worth talking bout,but i really enjoyed the trip...Im sure most would rather go shopping or stay at home to spend their holiz, but hey sometimes going to ulu-ulu places is really relaxing and fun !!! Take a break from wateva you are doing , and enjoy the greeneries , hey u will never know till u try it..Till then , God bless ( Special thanks to ju ping & family for making this trip possible ) & SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO RI , HIIIIII =)

When i strolled in , the 1st thing i noticed at this place was a photograph of an angler proudly posing holding up a huge patin or a catfish..normally i wouldnt have given it a second glance, but it was trully a big whooper !! And so far, this is the only pond which offer such a big catch. My inquiries revealed that the fish in the photo is the sole captive from a small load of catfish rleased some time ago. According to one guy , they are pretty hard to catch because of the abundance of small shrimps or algae which is their primary source of food.

Anyway i decided to go and have a try at this pond with my usual pancing-kakis , Sony and AH-MAT ( Mat Bom )..haha anyway we were hoping 3 rods ought to triple our chances of making anything exciting here.As always walkin into a paypond for the 1st time presented me with uncertainty of whether to fish on da right side or the left side.more often than not, the decision is made by avoiding the side where the sun hits you straight in the face.

Nothing happened for da nxt 4 hours, that is after discounting my capture of six tilapia. However the story was diff for abang Sony and Mat Bom as they both caught 3 pacu & 1 sizeable Jelawat...after gettin tired of unhookin small criters, i decided to search for some decent photos.after walking a short distance i saw an angler executing a murderous strike..one can tell it was a big catch...the tug of war lasted for almost half an hour & finally it was caught !! it was a 8kg catfish..a very big cat indeed..

after taking some photos i headed back to my rod..and i saw there was a slight tug on my line..my waited for 3 sec and gave a firm strike n the fight was on !! the fight wasnt long but it was still a strong fighter and it turn out to be a sizeable 3kg rohu or indian carp..all in all it was an eventful day..and YES SIR , we will be back for more..till then God bless.

It was a sunny afternoon, once in a while a cooling breeze would come along....haha cut the crap..anyway it was right after we had our thinking skills paper1 that charles suggest we go to tropicana pond to have a go..( of coz as usual need to fetch him back =p ) So after gettin gardenia bread from the sundry shop, we were off to the pond..the pond isnt impressive or big but hey its still a haven for anglers like us.

After settin up the bait,our lines were cast out..we caught numbers of tilapia and occasional jaguar chidlid..it was fun at first but it soon gotten a bit boring as most are only palm size juvenile fishes..it was 6.45pm when we were only left with a small crumb of bread, so it was our final cast for the day ( and it wasnt far at all )..we waited for 10mins and the line slowly tighten and there was a slight tug..its just yet another miserable tilapia charles thought..but the fight was much stronger compared to the other catches and i finally reeled in and it was a grass carp !!! haha a big one too !! who would have thought there would be such a big fish in this pond ?? after a few photo session with the beauty we released it back to the waters..overall it was a good fishing day !! not bad for such a pond not bad at all.
